Dying a Hair System

Step 1: fasten the hair system to the mannequin head
Before you start sticking the hair system to a model head, you should first cover the model head with a layer of aluminum foil to avoid staining. After that you can start pinning the hair piece to the model. Make sure it is firmly on there before you start the rest of the process.
Step 2: choose a dye
We recommend that you choose a color that is two shades lighter than the color you want to achieve, since hair system holds color more easily. This is because it is more porous than real hair on a scalp.
Step 3: Apply the dye
Start to apply the dye section by section starting from the top of the head and working your way down. Use the comb to distribute the dye evenly. Do your best to not get dye on the base. You’ll need to wait a few minutes for the dye to start working, but exactly how long that takes should be on the dye box.
Step 4: Rinse the hair system
After you have waited the recommended amount of time, you should was the hair system under warm, not hot, water. An important aspect of this step is to keep the base facing up towards the water, so that the dye can run down from the hair and not stain the base.
